Established on November 17, 1963 with the objectives of educational and charitable work in and around Mumbai city. It is also the aim of the Samiti to propagate the teachings of Narayana Guru. Samiti is a cosmopolitan organization with 412 patron members, 8056 life members from all over the world. The Samiti owns and operates Sree Narayana Guru High School, Sree Narayana Guru Collage of Commerce, Guru Mandiram, and a fully equipped auditorium at Chembur complex. Samiti also operates nine Sree Narayana Centers in and around Mumbai city. These centers conduct classes for music, dance languages and charitable health clinics. Samiti, since inception has grown to be a great social organization occupying an enviable position in and around Mumbai. Samiti has brought thousands of Sree Narayana Devotees together.
An expansion of the Chembur complex is also in the works. An additional plot of land was acquired. A school building will be constructed here. The present school shall be moved in and additional classes in the local language (Marathi) shall start. The present school is an English language school.
GURUDEVA GIRIThis is a project of the Samiti at Nerul, New Mumbai. It consists of a Guru Mandiram, Shiva Temple, An auditorium and International Center for Sree Narayana Studies. The construction of this project is in Progress.
A project for construction of an Industrial Training Institute At Tarapur is in progress. Also plans for a community center at Shrinagar, Thane near Mumbai has been submitted to the local authority for approval. Samiti also has plans to start a Home for the elderly, a Hospital and an Engineering Collage.

Sree Narayana Samithi was established to perpetuate the memory of Sree Narayana Guru and propagate his teachings. Samithi was officially founded on October 3, 1976 with the unanimous adoption of a resolution at a public meeting. The Samithi was registered under the Karnataka Societies Registration Act on March 18, 1977. In a short period, the Samithi created an awareness about the GURU and His teachings in the mind of the people. The messages of the Guru has reached every part of the population of Bangalore city and the rest of the state of Karnataka in India. This was achieved by the selfless and dedicated workers of the Samithi. Sixteen units of the Samithi is in operation now. Neighboring cities of ‘Chennarayapatna’ and ‘Bhdrawathy’ also have two zonal unit in operation. Membership exceed six thousand families. They are from different denominations and religions and they speck different languages of India.
Samithi has its’ office at number one Ulsoor Tank Road in the Garden City of India, Bangalore. Our building complex includes a Prayer Hall, an office, a library, a community hall, a medical clinic, and a printing press. The complex also includes residential facilities for our priest and guests.
There is a very significant grace in the location of the Prayer Hall. In the year 1895, when Narayana Guru visited Bangalore as a guest of Dr. Palppu, one of his deciple, Guru used to go for walk. During such a walk Guru took a little break and rested at a spot near the beautiful Ulsoor Lake. The Prayer Hall a located at the very spot Narayana Guru rested during that pleasant walk.
The Samiti has actively promoted the teachings of Narayana Guru to the local people. This continuous and dedicated efforts brought in very satisfying and gratifying results. In the year 1996 Samithi held a convention of the local population at the Palace grounds. This convention was attended by more than 200,000 people. The attendees included people of various denominations in and around the city of Bangalore.
Samithi has taken up various humanitarian and philanthropical works. They include, free clinics in Allopathic and Homeopathic treatments, Free library facilities, Matrimonial services, Training in printing and binding industry, Children’s and Ladies welfare projects, Youth programs for younger generation, Employment services for Vocational Training, and a 24 hours of the day ambulance service.
Gurudavajayanthi is celebrated every year by the Samithi in a grand scale. Meetings and cultural events are held during this period. Also a ‘Peace March’ is held during this celebrations. All these programs are geared to propagate the ideas and ideals of Guru. The Samithi also publish a magazine in three Languages. “Sree Narayana Samithi SANDESAM” is published in English, Malayalam and Kannada. Copies of this publication is distributed widely in India and abroad.
The Samithi operates a study center in the name of MAHAKAVI KUMARANSHAN. His poetic works and social and cultural activities are discussed at this center. The activities of the Center is coordinated by Mr. Komban A. Anthony.

Sree Narayana Guru Educational Trust was organized in 1999983 by Sree Narayana Mission of Coimbatore under the dynamic leadership of Mr. A.P.Madhavan and Mr. T.V.Sekharan and twenty two managing trustees. The aim was to establish a Technical training facility as the need of the time was technical education. The Trust established the Sree Narayana Guru institute of Technology in 1984. This institution is approved by India Council for Technical Education and the Government of Tamil Nadu and affiliated to the Board of Technical Education. This self financing institution has courses in Civil, Mechanical, Electronics, Communication, Electrical and Computer Engineering.
Later on an Arts and Science Collage was also added to the program. This Collage (Sree Narayana Guru Collage is located at K.G.Chavadi, Ettimadai, Coimbatore, 641105, India. Phone Number 856371) was inaugurated on August 14, 1994. Under Graduate studies in Computer Science, Micro Biology, Bio Chemistry, Mathematics, Corporate Secretary, Commerce, and Post Graduate studies in Social Work, Foreign Trade and Micro Biology are offered at this institution.
